we'd discussed new directions for this semester from previous avenues of research. Some of the works I'd like to take forward are the colour abstractions
with a view to "finishing" the work...perhaps some projected method. I'd talked about live feeds via a web cam, where the viewer would affect the output....more thought, obviously.I'd also like to look into more abstraction of text based works, I don't want to pursue a purely text based format (Lawrence Weiner). I am greatly interested in Charles Sandison's work, but I feel I could "easily" replicate it, but need to produce something different, a new angle..but what is that?
We also started to discuss the mid term and end of term show..where it could be held etc. Some interesting places were talked about, but we need to focus more on it, but it's hard to talk about venue, when we haven't even got artwork for it! Perhaps not all of us will still be around by that time anyway!
Last week, poppy, gabi and I went for a lovely walk in the fast melting snow...I'll try and post a photo of pops everytime I post.
